SEISMIC
PROCESSING
Using
a combination of in-house and external training Vision’s
processing consultants, both field and centre-based are kept
abreast of the latest in processing techniques and technology.
The
Vision Group maintains a continuous review of all current
processing technology, from UNIX-based systems provided by
Landmark (ProMAX), Western Geophysical (Omega), Geocenter (SeisUP),
CGG (Geovecteur Plus), Paradigm (Focus) and the EDS Apex through
to the newer Linux and NT systems.
All of Vision’s processing consultants have hands-on
experience as well as the wealth of technical knowledge that
experience brings.
SEISMIC
INTERPRETATION
Utilizing
a number of the industry-recognized packages Vision’s
interpretation group provides state-of-the-art interpretative
services. The
packages used are considered the industry-wide leaders for Unix
and Windows NT-based seismic interpretation.
With them, horizon, fault and well interpretation can be
interpreted and managed: time to depth conversions, animations,
contouring, gridding, horizon attribute calculations, volume
calculations and mis-tie analysis are
integrated into the interpretation flow.
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
Vision's
software development group specializes in the design of quality
control systems for the seismic exploration industry including
marine, land and ocean bottom applications. A company with people
of over 25 years’ experience in the seismic exploration industry
makes the company mature in understanding the quality control
issues involved in the industry.
The Vision Group are currently developing a number of
software packages for use in the oil- and gas-industry. These are
the four-component (4C) Vector Fidelity tool to enable the
geophysicists to expand on the information available on Ocean
Bottom Cable (OBC) surveys; and licensed from
Quest Geo-Solutions Ltd
the GeoMetis suite of programs (GeoMetis®MX,
GeoMetis®BX,
GeoMetis®SPSCheck)
which enable our navigation specialists to perform autonomous
positioning QC on all offshore and onshore surveys.
LAND AND
MARINE DATABASE PACKAGES
The Vision Group field reporting software packages are currently under
review. We are in the process of evaluating a sophisticated
database package which contains enhanced QA/QC functions.
